Open Until Filled

We are currently having open enrollment for our Growing Start Playgroups.  You can stop by and pick up a registration or fill out an online application by clicking the title of this event.  Please see the flyers for more information.  

January

Infant Playgroup:  January 6 & 27 (9:00-10:00) note changes due to holidays

Toddler Playgroup: January 8, 15, 22, & 29  (9:00-10:30)

Pre-K Playgroup:  January 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, & 30  (9:00-11:00)

~On January 30 we will have a special Footsteps2Brilliance storytime, everyone is invited to attend! 

Maxwell Multi-age Playgroup:  January 8, 15, 22, & 29  (1:30-3:00)

*The Williams Family Action Center will be close at 12:30 each Wednesday, with the exception of November 20, so staff can provide satellite services in Maxwell)  On November 20, we will be open for the CAPC Mobile Food Bank.   

Mondays 1-4 pm: January 6, 13, & 27

CalFresh Drop In Assist

Do you need money for food?  Drop in Mondays from 1-4 pm and receive a  prescreen, education, and apply for CalFresh!  We are here to help.  CalFresh is a reoccurring monthly food assistance program; if you qualify, you will receive a EBT card to assist with food purchases just about anywhere you shop.

Feeding America Food Distribution

Thanks to a partnership with the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano Counties, we will be distributing food to community members every second Tuesday of the month, starting at 12pm until it is all gone.  There is no registration required for this distribution.  

THURSDAY , January 16 (8:30-4:00) Pre-registration is required

Commodity Supplemental Food Distribution for Seniors (Pre-Registration Mandatory)

In partnership with the Food Banks of Contra Costa & Solano, we have the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) for those age 60 and over and whom income qualify. Pre-registration is mandatory as we order in advance.  Please stop in and fill out your application and bring your documents--photo ID and proof of County residence--with you at the time of registration. 602 Twelfth Street, Williams. 530.473.5400.  Your first registration is good for 6 months and those after for a year.

Center Closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

We will be closed Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Car Seat Class

Registration must be completed by 4:00,  Tuesday, January 21 so that we can be properly prepared.    Classes are held on site every other month, third Monday at 10:00 am, to educate parents or guardians of the proper use and installation of the various seat types.  Staff is certified by Safe Kids Worldwide with curriculum by NHTSA.  Classes are also held at the Arbuckle Family Action Center, First 5 Colusa and Colusa County Public Health.

WFAC Food Pantry Day

In a collaboration with the Colusa Family Resource Center and CAPC,  we are able to offer shelf stable items every month to those in need.  This program is also available at the Colusa Family Resource Center, 131 5th Street, Colusa,  on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 1:00 and at the Arbuckle Family Action Center, 812 King Street, Arbuckle,  the Second Wednesday of each month at 12:00.
